If this has been asked and answered, apoligies first. I did look for it and found nothing. I am probably being anal about the sheer number of entities that I see that seemingly server no purpose. I don’t like clutter. I don’t know that it has any negative impact on function. My question is, is there any antomagical means by which to purge those entities that are there seemingly discarded, or those that for whatever the reason play no role in the function of home assistant? If not “automagical”, is there a process you’d recommend for determinging those that no longer serve a purpsoe and best practice for getting rid of them? Thanks so much. Home Assistant is AMAZing!
You can’t just delete them but you can disable them.
go to each entity that you want to disable and click the gear icon and uncheck ‘enabled’.
Then they won’t show up in the states list. But they will still show up in the list of entities in the integration but will show as disabled. If you don’t want to see them there then click the filter button and uncheck “show disabled”.
