Click on the filter icon (top right of the entities list) and make sure you are showing disabled, unavailable and read-only entities.
Thanks Tom,
Cant remember what happened with this now, but thanks for responding
hey @tom_l , not to revive an old thread but I am experiencing a similar issue. In the search for entitles, I am displaying disabled, unavailable and read only entities and cannot find anything.
What is the full error you are getting?
“Entity with the ID is already registered”. I think I resolved my issue by going into “./storage/core.entitles” and finding the entity that was not displaying in the UI and removing it from the file. I know that may be somewhat dangerous but it appeared to resolve my issue.
That happens from time to time. Once an integration magically looses connection to an entity, this is the output. Entity states “…does not have an unique ID, therefore …”. Unfortunately next to the quite dangerous core.entities
file hack only a restart of HA seems to “fix” this, because than such entities are being removed (so the same entity name can be re-used again, finally).
Had this today when my iBeacon Tracker integration discovered the very same device a 2nd time (even this should be avoided by design according to the integration documentation). When trying to replace the entities by renaming and disabling the corresponding device/entities, my old friend Entity with this ID is already registered
came visit me again. Haven’t seen him for a while. Don’t like him.
