Enviroment Canada Weather Radar

Hello

I’m having trouble figuring out how to add environment Canada weather radar as a picture glance card on my dashboard. I believe the URL is:
Canadian Weather Radar - Environment Canada

My instructions are to add the following to my camera.yaml file:

• platform: generic
  name: Weather Radar Map
  still_image_url: Canadian Weather Radar - Environment Canada
  content_type: image/gif
  scan_interval: 600
  limit_refetch_to_url_change: true

Note: I do have the Environment Canada Integration card added.

I am the author of the Australian weather radar card (https://github.com/Makin-Things/bom-radar-card).
I have recently found a new source of radar data that will allow it to work more globally. It will be a new card that I hope to make available soon. It will use data from rainviewer for a sample of what will be used see https://www.rainviewer.com/weather-radar-map-live.html

The URL you posted leads to a web page containing many elements and not merely a solitary static image as is needed by the still_image_url option.

The Webpage card is a better fit for the URL you posted.

New Weather Radar Card

I wrote a radar card that used the Australian radar data a while back, but it was limited to being useful for Australians only. I have recently found a more global source of radar data that I could use so have now created a new global version. It is not yet in the Default HACS store, but should be soon. For now you can install it into HACS by manually adding the repo. [weather-radar-card] Feedback welcome.
