I have had the Envisalink component running for quite a while with great success and would like to add an additional sensor on my garage side door to the alarm.
I am using a wyze door contact sensor and have added it to home assistant which is working great.
The problem I am having is that when I call the alarm_control_panel.alarm_trigger service, the alarm goes off immediately. I need it to act the same as opening one of the regular sensors.
Does anyone know how I can achieve this?
You can not transmit an action that the panel takes when a zone trips to the panel, only the panel can do that to itself since the EVL acts like a keypad.
However… you can add an additional zone and trip it with a relay, if you have an extra zone and either an unused relay on a 4229 or 4204 module, or something like a shelly or other controllable relay connected to HA, wire the zone to the relay, trip the relay to trigger the entry delay alarm.
I assume you are using Honeywell. Program the zone as type 1 or 2 if you want the alarm all the time, or 10 if you only want it when it is armed away.
