Envisalink EVL3 started to give me issues

After several years of being nothing but a solid option for my DSC alarm system, my EVL3 is now giving me a “high pocket loss warning”, delay in getting live data into homeassistant (ie I manually disarm but hass still shows as armed), can’t access it locally via IP, several disconnects. It’s just became useless.

Anyone had the same issues? What’s a good alternative to Envisalink? Is the EVL4 a wise upgrade?

High packet loss indicates you have a communication issue between HA and the EVL3. Check your network cables, gear etc before you assume the EVL3 is bad.

Its far more likely network issues have bit you (especially with the reports of packet loss) than the evl failing…
