ERA Protect?

Hi all,

I’m looking at getting a smart burglar alarm and i’d like it to integrate with Home Assistant, at least indirectly. I like the look of the ERA Protect system but it doesn’t seem to have any smart home integrations except Echo and Nest, which aren’t what i’m after (i’d prefer local rather than via cloud). I’d really like access to the sensors for broader home automation logic. Before i discount it i thought i’d ask on here to see if anyone has any, experience or knowledge of integrating one of these alarms?

Cheers

I have just bought this to replace the non smart version I have on my office so I could control it remotely with the app. I’ll report back if I have any luck - but don’t hold your breath as I am really bad at getting things working

I suspect there won’t be any way to get it integrated. After I looked at ERA Protect a bit more I realised they probably make most of their money off subscription services, primarily video storage, so if they provided a way to connect to third party systems which could record things then they’d lost a lot of revenue.

Good luck anyway!
