I have been experiencing the above stated error in version .43.2 which prevents my front end from loading. When I leave it and return after a while it some how starts working until two nights ago when it never came back up.
There are no errors in my logs.
The Home assistant service is up and running on the pi
I am using the HASSbian image
I have used the netstat to check the listening port and 8123 is not listening.
I have updated to version .44 still no fix
also added the letsencrypt and http to the config - still same error.
I attempted changing the listening port using server_port in the config - same error.
I’m running out of ways to diagnose this problem. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks @cariboo I commented out all of my components and the front end came back on. This indicates that one of my includes and component is causing it but not throwing errors in the log. I will use your method to verify what is causing it
So I am currently using SmartThings but wanting to get into Home Assistant, but I’m a total n00b with this, and it’s the first time I’ve ever used a Raspberry Pi. I have the hass.io installation on it from a flashed SD card.
I, too, have been experiencing this err_connection_refused error; specifically, often when I reload the core or restart. Sometimes it’ll come back up after a wait, and sometimes I have to pull the power and reboot.
I’ve checked the IP, and it seems to stay on the same IP address, so it doesn’t seem to be a DHCP issue. I have it wired via Ethernet and I use the http://myip:8123 address.
