Hello,
I’ve been trying to install HAOS for 2 days now but without success.
I’ve tried several versions with different hard disks, nothing works and I still have the same problem:
The installation is stuck on “A start job is running for grow file system on /mnt/data”.
I’ve tried flashing the disks via balenaetcher and rpi imager
It’s an rpi4 with 8GB RAM.
Thanks in advance for your help

Try to wipe all partitions on the disk first.
In Windows you can use the GUI tools call disk manager or the CLI tool called diskpart.
And make sure you are using hardware or VMs with UEFI BIOS and that SecureBoot is disabled.

All the tests were carried out with disks formatted on windows

if i leave the rasp on. haos goes into emergency mode.
I get the web interface that says:
Preparing Home Assistant
(this can take up to 20 minutes)
While waiting, some suggestions
but then I can wait for hours without anything happening

If you can format the disks, then you have created partitions.

What disks are you using?
SDCard or SSDs?
What model of them?

I tried with :
a kingston 2.5" 240GB ssd
a Kingston 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive
a 16GB usb 2.0 flash drive
a sandisk 500GB ssd
for errors, sometimes it blocks on the one mentioned above (grow file system on /mnt/data) and sometimes on “HAOS Swap”
