Error message with little or no hint. Help please

Can anyone help with this error message?

[140499416441424] Client unable to keep up with pending messages. Stayed over 512 for 5 seconds
17:03:05 – (ERROR) Home Assistant WebSocket API - message first occurred at 15:03:05 and shows up 120 times

I can tell that there is an external client connected to HA using websocket and HA is sending many messages but they are not processed by clients.

Waiting messages are discarded by HA as there were too many accumulated.

Of course, i don’t have any idea who the client is and why it is failing to process

Thanks, I have a cheap and fairly crap Chinese tablet used as a wall panel. It’s been really playing up recently. I suspect it it is on it’s last legs for some reason.

I’ll turn it off and see what happens.

Its not as such the tablet that is the problem, but usually the fact that you use a browser that tries to reassign an old session.

Are you using a browser or the client app on the tablet?

I’m using fully kiosk so a browser.
I would use the app but I like having it fairly well locked down.

Try changing browser.
I have had problems with Firefox, while Google ran a bit better.
