Error when trying Nest integration

I’m trying to integrate my Nest thermostats to HA. I followed the guide under integrations and all seemed to go well until I got to Device Setup. I get redirected to Google as I should, I turn on Allow mdhome to see information about your home and I turn on my two thermostats. When I click NEXT I get the following
“Authorization Error
Error 400: Invalid Request
You can’t sign in to this app because it doesn’t comply with Google’s
OAuth 2.0 policy for keeping apps secure”

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

I think this may happen when not using an https url when connecting to your home assistant instance. Double check the troubleshooting steps here Nest - Home Assistant about redirect_uris

Having this exact problem–except the troubleshooting guide says to go back to our Oauth2.0 client and update the REdirect URIs–and there’s no way I can find to do that.

The next release of home assistant 2021.12 removes the need for redirect urls entirely, and it makes the setup way easier. Today, you can try a beta version (with these instructions) of wait a few days for the release and check the main docs

Hi, this has been released so update and check out new instructions at Nest - Home Assistant

Is this in stable (I’m getting this error), or do we need to use a newer release?
