Error while loading page developer-tools

Hi everybody,

I’m very fresh in Home Assistant. Actually, it was only yesterday that I started with my new Home Assistance Green. And today, a new update of the core became available. Which I installed.

Unfortunately, after the update, I cannot load the Development tools anymore:

And how stupid, I didn’t make a backup.

Anybody some some good advice to solve the issue?

thnx, Leon

Little further investigation:

When I hoover the mouse over the menu-item “Developer tools”, I can read http://homeassistant.local:8123/developer-tools
When I click, the page is not loaded and the error message appears.

But when I use right-click → open in new tab, the http://homeassistant.local:8123/developer-tools/yaml is opened.

Anybody the same experience?

This morning, it appeared to work again. So problem solved…

I am seeing this also. i am running the latest stable, and i can confirm that right click open in a new tab works

I’ve been having this problem on and off for a couple of months. A restart of HA often fixes it temporarily, but then the problem returns. Opening in a new tab or CTRL+click on the menu item will open the page successfully.

I am having the same issue, right click > open new tab works! single click gets " Error while loading page developer-tools."

Same here with HA 2024.11.1 installed.
Right click and open in new tab/window works.
Several reboots not bring it back as before

Was having the same in Edge under Windows 11. What solved it was clearing the history. Using CTRL-F5 was not sufficient.

Hello Everyone,

I encounter the same issue but on more pages that only developer-tools, and the solution for me was to come back to the IP from my network http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8123/ and not use anymore the http://homeassistant.local/ .

hope it helps

But I am still searching a solution to always have homeassistant.local
have a good day

Clear your browser cache &/or history when you’re on homeassistant.local, as explained in the post above.
