Guys, I’m thinking about buying this board from the link below, to install the squeezelite on it, connect it via Bluetooth to my Alexa and thus be able to use the music assistant on my Alexa. Could anyone tell me if it works?
Please stop posting such ridiculously long urls. Everything after ‘html’ is superfluous and probably just tracks you.
There are 2 reviews on that link. One says it doesn’t work with squeezelite, one says it does. At least it’s cheap. Let us know.
I use this board as a squeezelite.
I don’t use bluetooth, but wifi and LMS(LYRION) server.
It has been working well for several years for local music and radio.
Thanks for your reply.
I’m going to buy it! I’m looking for something to use Music Assistant with my Alexas.
So the idea is to connect it to my Alexas via Bluetooth and then choose Squeezelite in Home Assistant as a player and have it play on the Alexas.
Is there any screenshots of the configuration screens? Is this LMS (LYRION) a different LMS or is it a normal one…
Sorry, there are so many questions.
But I understand that the board must be connected to the Wi-Fi and connected to Home Assistant and connected to Alexa via Bluetooth.
Yes LMS (LYRION) formerly just LMS.
I have LMS installed on a separate Rpi and it is independent of HA.
All the players I have are integrated and controlled by HA or separately using the touch screen from LMS.
I don’t think it will be possible to connect the Esp32-A1S via wifi together with bluetooth. I haven’t tried
I would have thought you don’t want lms at all if you want to use squeezelite. In MA I would use the slim player provider and a music provider that suits your desired/available music.
Suit yourself.
