It is hard to tell from the picture whether the PCB antenna or the U.FL connector are connected. But be aware that if it is connected to the U.FL connector, you’ll either have to do the very fiddly job of switching to the PCB antenna, or get a U.FL antenna.
The on board antenna is connected via the 402 sized resistor link (red). It has to be moved to the other sets of pads (green) to use the UFL connector:
