ESP32 camera test pattern glitchy

Hi. I am a newbie to ESPHome. I purchased an ESP32-S3-DevKitC-1 v1.1 and Adafruit OV5640 Camera Breakout - 160 Degree Wide Angle and have wired them together on a breadboard with lots of hookup wires.
I configured an ESP32 Camera in my yaml file and set it to show the Test Pattern.
When I view the camera image in HA it show the test pattern but is very glitchy

Animation

Is this typical of problems with hookup wires and perhaps different lengths on the data lines or SDA/SCL?
Any help is appreciated.
