ESP32 configuration for espresense

Hi all

I have a question about the configuration of my ESP board

My ESP board: WaveShare NodeMCU-32 ESP32 WiFi Bluetooth with CP2102.

My devices: Google Pixel Pro 8 and an older Samsung smart watch.

I Installed the ESPresense by this guide: https://espresense.com/

On the Google Pixel pro 8 I installed the HA companio app with the follow settings:

On the watch I installed the ‘Beacon Maker’ app.

I have performed the following two tests:

Factor used to account for absorption, reflection, or diffraction: 10
Distance: 1m

I think If I only change the absorption value, I will never manage to ensure that all devices have ± the correct distance.

I have seen that I can adjust the RSSI@1M value in the HA companio app. But I don’t know if this is recommended? Or whether this value must remain at -59

What would you recommend to me?

I think you are confused

  • espresence is nothing to do with esphome
  • this is not the espresence forum (although there may be someone who can help you)
  • the espresence.com page says
