ESP32 DEVKIT V1 DOIT - Physical pin numbering

Yes, I know, this is very basic knowledge that everyone using the ESP32 should have before even starting.
But! How to obtain this knowlegde appears to be challenging…
There are hundreds, if not thousands of websites describing the most intimate details of what the ESP32 does, but what the physical pin numbering is? Nowhere to be found.
Therefor, this very simple question;

What is pin 1 on the ESP32 DEVKIT V1 DOIT? Usually there is a dot or notch on a pcb that indicates it.
Maybe I’ve missed it, but where do I start counting??

Are you looking for something like this?

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=ESP32+DEVKIT+V1+DOIT+pinout&t=ffab&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images

No, obviously not. Those sites describe the workings of the functional pins, but there’s no physical numbering. So, what is pin 1 on the pcb?

Found this one. Hope the numbering is correct as pin 21 is missing :wink:
So, 3.3v is pin 1?

Looks much the same Vin as Pin 1 on the ESP32 DEVKIT V1 DOIT schematic

But your above schematic looks like you have a different dev kit.

I’ve alse seen the one you posted. It counts from 1 to 15 on both sides. Not very useful :wink:
