ESP32-S2 issue - timeout uploading via USB

I have an issue with an ESP32-S2, which I am unable to load software to since 12.0 …
It has a LCD screen attached to some GPIO’s - not sure if that could cause the issue…

Using the Adafruit ESPtool, I can connect - but then gets:

esptool.js

Error: Timeout

Any ideas on what could be the issue ?

Tried local esptool instead - seemed to work better than those web-based things…
