Esp32 WLED master?

I have WLED installed to an ESP32 and it is integrated into HA. In the said integration it has 3 slider buttons, which are WLED, Master, and WLED . What is Master, ie what does it do do exactly.

You have the ability to segment your addressable LEDs into sections. Each section will get it’s own entity to control that segment a master entity is created to control all segments together.
