ESPHome device builder installlation in HA with dockers

I need ESPHome device builder, but I can’t install it as an add-on since I’m using HA in Docker.

How could I do it? Thanks in advance

Install ESPHome as a separate docker container

Thank you. I have ESPHome installed as a Docker container, but I don’t know how to proceed to switch to the beta-branch of ApolloAutomation following their instructions: Switch to Beta - Apollo Docs

Exactly as documented. That is unrelated to how ESPHome is installed.

Sorry, but it’s my first time. …

Do I need to physically connect my device (PLT-1B) to the RPi where I have HA / ESPHome installed as a Docker container?

Or can I see/edit the ESPHome devices WiFi connected to HA from my ESPHome Docker instance?

I think I’m making progress. Entering through the port, at least I can see a device connected via ESPhome, though not the APOLLO one. :frowning:

To be able to ‘add’ the APOLLO device to ESPHome, do I have to connect them via USB to the RPi?

I can see the Apollo PLT without any issues in the ESPHome integration in HA but I can’t to EDIT it

I think I’ve almost got it fixed, although now there’s a new problem since it looks like the version of ESPHome I had installed is very old. The strange thing is that I can’t find a Docker image with a more modern version for the RPI4.

there are several ways to install esphome:

It is not necessary to install it on a Raspberry Pi. In fact you will likely get a better experience with a more powerful PC or mac.

Thanks, I have had ESPHome installed on my RPi for more than four years. My question was about how to change the ESPHome configuration of my Apollo PLT-1B.

Removal of armv7 support

ESPHome no longer supports the 32-bit armv7 architecture. This is due to both waning support as it relates to tooling and performance reasons. We strongly recommend moving to a more modern architecture, especially if you’re using the ESPHome Device Builder to build/compile firmware for your devices.

that is the question I was answering
