ESPHome device (ESP12) not available in HA, but still able to upload OTA

Yesterday, one of my ESP devices’ entities started appearing unavailable in Lovelace.

I didn’t change anything whatsoever. I noticed this because one of the automation that runs at night, didn’t start, so I tried to do it manually (sprinkler control). That’s when I noticed this situation.

I re-uploaded the code OTA to the device, everything went well. In fact, ESPHome was updated from 1.15.3 in one of those uploads I did (this behavior started while on 1.15.3 and now it keeps happening on 1.16.0).

Today I measured voltages in the board itself to discard a problem with the PSU, relays, etc. Everything, from the hardware point of view, seems to be working fine.

Any clue?

Sometimes ha get’s a hick up I think.

Best is usually to delete the integration (this very esphome node which is troubling) and just add it again. Mostly likely it will then run again for a year or two :wink:

Went a step further and reflashed the ESP module. Problem solved :man_shrugging:
