Is there an update for this? I have a switch on an espHome device that I want to control through Alexa, but Alexa won’t discover it. In reading a similar post from last year, it appears that I have to install Tasmota first then let Alexa discover it, then replace the Tasmota with epsHome.
There’s a lot of questions about this going back five years, but no definitive fix that I can see.
Maybe i am missing something very important here but if your esphome device is connected to home assistant, it can be exposed to alexa as any other device, right?
“Discover” doesn’t see it.
