Hello,
since months I didn’t get any request in HomeAssistant to update my ESPHome plugin.
Looking at the version it is still v2022.3.1
Other plugins are updating regularly.
Can anyone give me an hint how to resolve this?

Did you miss the repo change? Home Assistant Addon Repo
In a future Supervisor version, the ESPHome Home Assistant addon repository will be added by default to new Home Assistant installations. We have decided that we will deprecate the ESPHome addon inside the Community Addons and everyone should move to the ESPHome repo. It is safe to delete the ESPHome addon as your configuration YAML files are stored in the Home Assistant configuration folder.
uh, yes maybe.
In “adding integrations” I only find (I think the old) ESPHome integration.
Where can I find the new ESPHome repo?
Thanks,
Martin
I found it - addon store…
Thank you for trying to unravel the language for us! I admit I was confused by that change notice.
Just to see if I understand, is the “dashboard” what I see when I go to add-ons, click ESPHome, then click “Open Web UI”?
I’m still on HA 2202.6, soon to move to .7. So far I’ve only dabbled in ESPHome, with only one active device. My ESPHome Add-on shows version 2022.6.2. Should I remove it before installing HA 2022.7? Or should I wait and let the .7 update copy any config information it needs?
So if I understand this correctly, what I’m looking at in the HA Add-ons page is what you’re calling the ESPHome Dashboard?
In which case there’s nothing further I need to do. The Dashboard add-on will show a notification when it needs to be updated and the “guts” (my word) of ESPHome is already baked into HA.
Sorry for the stupid questions. I want to start using ESPHome more and I want to get all the jargon right!
I’ll just add. A node without a color bar is online.
The red bar is offline and the blue bar is ready to update
I have not yet encountered adoption here
Thank you for the information. I’ll remember that.
I just discovered this change while I was trying to take advantage of the Bluetooth Proxy addition. My ESPHome add-on was had not updated past 2022.3.1, I think. No update was shown as available.
If it hadn’t been for interest in Bluetooth Proxy, it might have taken me much longer to come across this. Most of my ESPHome use was in a burst of experimentation a few months ago, and everything was in “set it and forget it” mode since then.
I had tried to update ESPHome, which installed the latest version, but the ESPHome link in my sidebar apparently didn’t point to it.
Eventually, I uninstalled both the old version and the newer version (which did list as being installed). I then re-installed the latest version, which worked. I started it up, checked the ESPHome sidebar link, and found that it read my saved config.
I was a bit worried that I would have some difficulty connecting to ESPHome. I noticed the hostname changed, as displayed in the add-on settings. However, the sidebar link did work.
