ESP-home seems to be messy. I have a limited nr of devices but I have multiple entries which I never requested for or added. Please see my picture.
Has somebody an idea how I can clean up this mess and how I can prevent it from happening again?
Yes I had the same problem on one device. For the life of me I can’t remember how I did it. I do so much fiddling. Adding sensors changing naming convention etc etc
Removing it was super simple. Work out which one you want to keep and delete the other same name device. On the integration Click on the 3 dots at the end of the line and press delete.
Sometimes where you change device and entity names ESPHome integration gets confused. Delete entire device and re-add. Very quick
I followed your lead and cleaned up ESPHome by basically deleting all devices and re-adding them. Now it seems to stay neat!
