Esphome update problems

Hi,
anyone had problems with upgrading firmware in esp8266 devices lately?

I managed to brick two zemismart bulbs latety, when updating firmware over wireless. It just does not boot. One of them show emergency AP sometimes (that was the change i was uploading), other one is just dead.

I soldered wires to pins to both of them and both does not show any actvity on serial line either (with and without gpio0 pulled to ground)

Classic, right after sending this post, the bulb i upgraded today and spend whole morning trying to boot , came to live on wifi …

Hmm, it worked once, so i desoldered cables, put it in normal socket and now it does not appear on wifi anymore.

I wonder, could the power source be somehow damaged?
