ESPHome with NodeMCU, discovered but can't configure

I have this issue when I try to connect a second nodemcu to homeassistant via esphome. It shows up as discovered and I get readings from the sensor on the logs, but I can’t configure it in homeassistant. Nothing happens when I press configure, I am only able to ignore the device. I have tried rebooting home assistant and esphome.

Are you giving each node a unique name?

Yes. I have named them nodemcu1 and nodemcu2, is this an issue? The other one is disconnected now, only the nodemcu2 is connected.
