I am currently deploying the latest HAOS image to a VMWare host running Esxi 8.0.3, and I noticed that the VM compatibility of the image is set to 5.5. Has anyone upgraded the image compatibility and have it still fully boot…My image is booting fine but the Supervisor is not getting a IP address…I have change the adapter to the emulated E1000e as well…It did get an IP when first loading, and the compatibility and adapter are the only changes I made…applying Occam’s razor, I’m fairly sure the issue is the change in compatibility and will redeploy again without the change, just checking if this is a known issue
I was able to get it working, and it seems I needed to make changes to the VM cores/memory/ethernet, etc… BEFORE launching it for the first time… I’m off and running now trying to troubleshoot webhooks…onward and upward…
I ran HAOS as a vm on 8.0.x for a long time, I never had any issues with the latest compatibility (vmx23 is it?). Due to the Broadcom takeover I’ve changed over to Proxmox, but worked perfectly on ESXi.
