I’ve seen a lot of posts about Ethernet on one network and Wifi on another, but I think my question is different. I have Home Assistant OS running on an old laptop connected via Ethernet, but occasionally the plug falls out. I can fix this with hot glue or something, but I’d like to have Wifi as a backup. So right now I have a static IP, DuckDNS and reverse proxy set up on the ethernet connection, working fine. I also set up wifi with a different static IP but going to the same router. I can currently access Home Assistant via the DuckDNS address both locally and remotely, and I can also access it locally via the wifi IP address. Can or should I now set up a new DuckDNS address to access this, or what’s the best way to proceed (besides getting a new laptop with an ethernet socket without the random eject option)? I’m not an expert and did all this by watching several how-to videos.
