Eufy Security Cameras - Homebase 3 and Bionic AI features

Not trying (yet) to get video - but looking to get the motion/person/pet AI detections from the Homebase 3. Currently, it does not appear to support this - and I’m not sure where the update is needed.

Cameras like the T8400 come in with many sensors - like “Crying Detected”, “Person detected”, “Pet detected”.

However, cameras like the T8425 and T8416 (these are cameras that support the Bionic AI of the Homebase - and I believe they connect differently for this feature) only appear to expose the “Debug (device)” sensor. I think this is because the camera is no longer directly addressable - and its sensors and video have to be obtained from the HomeBase - not the camera itself.

Where do we need to prompt to get these newer devices supported?

Thank you!

Michael.

Thanks for adding the topic. Very strange that Eufy decided to keep Homebase 3 closed. Would RTSP be an option?

Re-enabling RTSP disables the connection to Homebase 3 - and the more advanced Bionic AI features stop functioning. So - I’d prefer to keep the camers connected to Homebase 3 for it’s recording and AI capability but sure do miss the features in Home Assistant. Given the Eufy app sees these items (and can stream live video using, I believe, PTP via the HB3) I suspect it’s just the method of integration that needs updating to support new HB3 features and methods.

Hello, I’m new and I have a question.
I have a eufy T8425 camera and home base 3, and I want to integrate it into Ha, is it possible?

I have the T8416 but it’s connected to Wifi (and not my Homebase 3) and it still shows only debug sensors in HA. Did you ever work out a solution? Thanks.

Edit: Looks like there’s a request to support the camera here Support for 'Indoor Cam S350' - T8416 · Issue #1042 · fuatakgun/eufy_security · GitHub

Not solved yet - and it appears that issue was ‘closed’ with a referral. Not exactly sure where to file the request now.

Maybe? [Feature request]: Add support for IndoorCam S350 (T8416) · Issue #398 · bropat/eufy-security-client · GitHub

Seems it’s there now in the library… :). but we await the update of the library to filter down to Home Assistant.
