Eufy Security Integration

Hey,
could someone please help.

I have the 2c indoor camera. What I would like is to have an automation that turns motion detection on when away from the house. my issue is when I manually turn it on or off it reverts back to its previous state and nothing changes in the EUFY APP.

is this normal

Are you sure you donā€™t have any other configuration on eufy app? I have multiple 2c cameras at home and they are all responding correctly to toggle motion detection.

But, if i switch the motion detection on the app, it is not changing inside home assistant immediately.

Hey
What do you mean by other config?
I also have the battery doorbell and home base, which are connected to HA

I am not using the eufy security app, is there any setting inside app to control this based on a schedule or a geofence?

Geo is off and there isnā€™t anything other in the setting that I can see.

If I change the settings in the app and reload the intergration I see the change in HA.

Yet in HA any toggle I hit reverts right back again

Hi,
I want to add
I can change the homebase from armed_away ect, yet I canā€™t seem to get the indoor camera to change. I would really like help if at all possible, as I would like to use this as part on an alarm system within HA

Edit:
Made an error, the camera I have is the pan and tilt

Hi @anon63427907,

I have added eufy doorbell to HA and everything looks find except for doorbell streaming.
Can u please help? Let me know if you need any further information.

You can create only one post, it would be easier to track.

But, you seem to be having an issue with connection between home assistant and eufy cameras. Try to ping your devices and stations from home assistant bash.

@anon63427907 any idea on this: Getting error Livestream for device T8200**** could not be stopped, because it is not running in logs Ā· Issue #431 Ā· fuatakgun/eufy_security Ā· GitHub

The problem with these similar issues, i need debugging on these specific setups because i am not able to reproduce this locally. I have battery operated 2c cameras and mains based pin tilt camera. We need to setup some time together so you can share these cameras with me and i can debug the root cause.

There are already some cameras shared with me and waiting for me to debug them, but my work is q bit demanding nowadays

@anon63427907
Sorry to be a pest, I really do appericate you working on this integration and understand life/work does take over :slight_smile:
you mentioned you have the pan and tilt are you able to adjust the setting in HA
Looking at the add-on I have noticed the following error

2022-10-06 10:27:17.609  ERROR P2PClientProtocol.lookup(): station: T8410P4122251709 - All address lookup tentatives failed.
2022-10-06 10:27:17.611 INFO Timeout connecting to station T8410P4122251709

it seems like you have a connection issue with your HA and camera and add-on is having issues to reach to camera.

2 options ahead;

  • double check if your network is stable
  • if you think network is all good, create an issue under eufy-security-client repository and debug with @bropat

Iā€™m having issues with my eufy floodlight 2kā€™s Product number is T8424121. Did those ever get fixed?

Other people are having the same issue and bropat has flagged it as a bug,

Yet someone called massive has a version of the add on that resolved my issue.

Iā€™m now able to control my pan and tilt camera :smiley:

Could you kindly help with another query my doorbell sensor battery shows 54% but eufy reports it as 18%

Is there anyway to get it to refresh correctly!

Hi there,
noob question here: how did you upgraded?

I have the same issue raised here:

and upgrading to 1.0.0 (the same you installed) seems to solve itā€¦but I canā€™t figure out how to upgrade.

Iā€™m on HASSOS install.
Tanks in advance :slight_smile:

The add on massive created is a version lower than bropats, once bropat has released the bug fix (pending for next version) Iā€™ll switch back over to ensure Iā€™m on the latest version

Please keep here updated so i can bump the version

I finally installed this integration - getting rid of my last subscription-based camera device and standardizing on Eufy.

It looks like the night vision LEDs on my old eufyCam T8111 never turn off. The camera is set to ā€œauto night visionā€. This camera is currently connected to an original Home Base (T8001)

Before using the integration, the LEDs would only come on when motion was detected (you could hear the click if you listened closely). But now they appear to stay on continuously. (Iā€™ve got this camera in a closet right now to test)

Is this expected? Or something I misconfigured?

Hmm. I just went back and checked on the camera and the LEDs were off! Maybe I wasnā€™t giving it enough time.
