Eurotronics Thermostatic Valve Spirit - cannot set target temperature in automations

Hi,

(Using Z-wave JS without MQTT in HAOS.)

The Eurotronics Spirit works fine when manipulated from dashboard or device page.

However, when I try to setup automation, I cannot find “Set target temperature” or “Set Setpoint” in the device actions list. I can choose HVAC mode (heat, off), preset (off, full power, eco heat), but nothing about the target temperature.

In Z-Wave JS, I can see “[7-67-0-setpoint-1] Setpoint (Heating)” and “[7-67-0-setpoint-11] Setpoint (Energy Save Heating)” allowing to set the targe temperatures for the respective presets of heating mode.

Is it wise to set the target temperature manually in the automation? (I got the respective parameters from Z-WaveJS.) Or is there a reason not to use this directly?

Just use the climate entity service calls. My non-Z-Wave thermostat does not support setting temperature as a device action either. Device actions are hit and miss.
