Eve Thermo lose the thread connection (Apple 4k & Skyconnect network)

Hello everyone,

I have moved my Eve thermos to Matter.
Because I don’t want to go to my wife’s iphone all the time to adjust something on the Eve devices, I want to control everything via HA without Homekit.

The update to Matter has worked so far.

First floor: 2 x eve thermo, Apple 4k as OTBR, eve door
2st floor: 1 x eve thermo
3nd floor 2 x Eve Thermo, Server with HA(VM Hassio) & Skyconnect

Problem #1:
When I try to add one of the devices to the network via the HA app (android), I get the error that there is no OBTR installed.

if i try to do this my wifes iphone it works.

I don’t have a solution yet, but this is not my primary problem.

Problem #2:
I lose the connection from Therma from the first floor, for example the last days:
This devices are 3 meters away from the Apple TV 4k…

so i dont know what i have to do now to get my devices work…
why did the 2nd floor device dont connect to the first floor devices and bridge them?
this worked on homekit…

this shows the otbr web, connected to the eve thermo on 2nd and 3rd floor.

Hi there, I understand your issue as I’m experiencing something very similar, which leads me to believe that the Eve Thermos themselves might be causing the problem.

I’ve installed 8 Eve Thermos (Gen 2, 3, and 4), all connected via Matter with a HomePod as the router. I can control the Thermos at any time; however, the data looks exactly like yours. After around 10 minutes of inactivity, the Thermos simply stop sending data.

I’ve also tried using the Home Assistant Core update function to trigger the Thermos externally in the hope that they would resume sending data, but this hasn’t worked either.

I’m currently in contact with Eve’s support team and am seeking a solution. I’ll update you as soon as I find anything useful.
