Excel file for quick log analysis

I put together an quite ugly, but also efficient way to analyse your HA log in Excel.
Just a PowerPivot with slicers to easily filter out Warnings, Errors and so on.
Absolutely no error handling or fancy stuff :slight_smile:

Just click to filter out per Log Type/Date/Day/Time/Minute/Component …

Feel free to evolve.

Instruction:

  1. Enter path to your HA log on the Path tab
  2. Switch to Summary tab.
  3. Data - Refresh All
  4. Enjoy

Next time just Refresh All.

This is excellent, thanks for sharing, just one thing, how do you change the “DayName” to English?

Hmm… that’s actually a common function in PowerQuery, so it should adjust to your computer’s language.

Text.Proper(Date.DayOfWeekName([Date]))

But obviously not, so then I’d suggest you go to Queries & Connections, edit the query in PowerQuery, refresh and save. And hope for the best :slight_smile:
