so i recently installed Adguard on windows 10 as a service, and redirected HA traffic to Adguard. i noticed there is a DNS request for version.home-assistant.io like every 5 minutes. what is this request for? is HA checking for new version every 5 minutes? this seems to be overkill… any ideas, guys?

I was wondering about the same thing. Saw these records showing up in Pi-hole.
Is there a way we can set this interval ourselves?

My home assistant spams over 600 times per hour, not one time per 5 minutes. So it’s a little problematic.
I read disabling dhcp on home assistant helps some people.
