Experiences transitioning from DeconZ -> ZBT-2 (ZHA)

Have run Deconz USB dongle + integration for a few years with a mix of Aqara, Hue, and Sonos devices. Other than the occasional Aqara drop, I’ve been pleased with how stable the system is.

Still, I am curious about greener pastures with the ZBT-2 since its such newer tech and ZHA seems to have broader device compatibility. A few questions:

  1. Can Deconz and ZBT-2 coexist during a transition period? The idea would be to gradually decommission devices from Deconz and add them to ZBT-2, but there would be at least a week or so where both systems would have to run in parallel.

  2. Has anyone jumped away from Deconz to ZHA (using ZBT-2 or another dongle) and regretted it? Anyone have astoundingly positive experiences?

Just testing the waters! Thanks!

Yes, as long as you have two coordinators (Deconz + ZBT-2) that works. Just be aware that the two do not talk to each other and that you may experience a less ideal mesh on both of them until you have moved over all your router devices.

I moved from Deconz to Z2M (not ZHA) many years back and haven’t missed Deconz for a second.
