With version 0.97.2 it includes “Update pyvera to 0.3.3” supposedly to fix Vera Controls issues. I was excited to see this but when I installed it, my Vera issue became worse!
Did some more debugging to identify the issue and then did research and found this post:

Followed the instructions to update pyvera to version 0.3.4 and now everything is working as expected.
