I made a follow-up video for my previous DIY media player bridge device where you can use any desktop speaker as a home assistant media player.
A lot of questions and comments were about music assistant and spotify/airplay integrations. With the amazing plugins from music assistant we are now able to use our media players from within spotify and airplay. Exposing them directly in the app.
Once you expose your devices to music assistant you can use the “Spotify connect” and the “Airplay Receiver” providers to expose any device to these services. After exposing them you will be able to use them inside the Spotify app and see them inside your airplay devices.
This was something that I wanted for a long time. Because previously we had to open the HAOS app → Go to music assistant → Choose player → choose song → play it.
That did not get my wife-approval 
So I didn’t even install music assistant after hoping over to a proxmox setup. But recently I discovered that there were new providers just for this I know I’m late to the party but I hope this helps anyone else like me
