Extending WiFi to p1Meter

Hi all
My WiFi doesn’t reach the utility meters.
What are my options? I find a enlargement dongle of 70 euros.
Any ideas?

Thank you all. I’m going to try with a long extender rj11 cable. If I can get it through the ceiling, I might get enough WiFi.
I also assume a flaky connection is good enough, it just needs to send some small packages every now and then.

just fyi, mine sends all power data once every second….

is it sending cumulative total or net consumption happened in that second? depending on the data, receiving data in sparse schedules might still work, right?
