I wanted to set up a 2nd disc to store my data. I use VMware. So I mounted a 2nd disc, I partitioned it in Ext4 and then I mounted it on the VM Ha. Unfortunately, it does not appear in the list of devices that can be used to move the data. I do not understand why.
An idea ?
same here - have an internal SSD 1TB for HA and an internal HDD 2TB which I would like to use for media…
BTW: there is another thread with the same issue - Hassio 2nd HDD not available - based on the feedback there this would be a feature request
Your best bet would be to mnt the new drive to the existing folder that home assistant stores its files in the nedit the fstab file so it automounts on startup.
