Extract YAML from GUI-created entities

The recent changes in 2021 make it more easy to create helpers within the GUI.

In order to share new projects in this community: how can I extract the YAML code if I create helpers via GUI?

For Lovelace Cards & Automations for example this is pretty simple: just use the “Edit YAML” functionality - however this doesn’t seem to be possible for the helpers (and maybe other GUI created stuff).

What’s the easiest way to share such things?

You can’t. There is no yaml attached to it. Helpers configured through the UI are stored in a JSON file.

There isn’t an easy way to share these other than taking a screenshot of your helpers configuration in the UI.
