EZViz Camera connection to HA

Before version 0.0.5.6 I was able to call service disable_motion_detection.
Now when I call it I get an api error (now on version 0.0.5.9).
I have a C6N camera and Hass.io 2021.3.4.

Hi,

I have a C6N as well, and Iā€™ve managed to integrate it thru HASS and the entities are available in my HA. But nevertheless I canā€™t get any stream working.
Can you share your configuration.yaml for your Ezviz part and your lovelace-yaml so that I can compare what Iā€™m doing wrong or miss?

Best regards,

I guess thatā€™s a no from this groupā€¦

Hi,
what about alarm service?
It seems is gone.

Regards,

Alessandro

how do you put 5 cameras to me from these errors
Integration error: platform - Integration ā€˜platformā€™ not found
Integration error: input - Integration ā€˜inputā€™ not found.
Integration error: name - Integration ā€˜nameā€™ not found.

how come??

Iā€™ve just bought and configured an EZVIZ TY1 camera. I thought rtsp allowed you to pan & zoom a camera but I canā€™t seem to make that work. Any suggestions?

ĀæExist some limitation on EZVIZ BM1 model? (encryption disabled)
RSTP not working and HA show RSTP cam with user/password unknowā€¦ (not activation code or similar)

You need to configure the device with these credentials (as per the screenshot you posted):

  • Username: admin
  • Password: the verification code written typically at the bottom of your EzViz camera

If you could give me a hint: I have EZVIZ Husky Air camera and there is only QR code provided. Should I decrypt the QR code to get the verification code from it, or should I go through the in-cloud registration process (probably it will allow me to set another verification code)?

UPD: It turned out that I had to decode the QR code. It contained in that order:

  • Camera serial number (will be used as hostname)
  • Verification code
  • Model number

Example:

152231067
ASDLHR
CS-CV310-A0-1B2WFR

So the URL to use: ffmpeg -i rtsp://admin:[email protected]:554 -an -c:v copy stream.mp4

I tried using the default password (verification code on the camera) and changing from the EZVIZ app but they donā€™t work either.

I also tried with the RSTP option:

rtsp://admin:PASS@IP_ADDRESS:554
rtsp://admin:PASS@IP_ADDRESS:554/Streaming/Channels/101

Note: IP_ADDRESS can be the name of the camera, consisting of the serial number and the DNS suffix of the network, for example: K6410000.myhome.local

In none of the cases has it worked, only through the EZVIZ application on mobile or PC

In the app, if you use local connection, there should be a setting to turn on to enable 3rd party access to the stream.

It is in the top right settings (gear icon) once you accessed the camera.

Not appear ā€œLocal service settingsā€ā€¦

Type: CS-BM1-R100-2D2WF-Ra
Current Version:V5.3.6 build 221102

Those are all cloud related settings.

You donā€™t have to log in to the EZVIZ Cloud. Just on the top right select the play icon to access the local lan search.

Then log in to your camera with the access code and then you will have settings for this.

But to be honest, you might have a camera which does not support at all local access.

Most likely due to the fact, that it is a Baby Monitor.

the manufacturer allows to integrate with Alexa and Google home in the cloud but not locally by RSTPā€¦ great šŸ«£

It is bad news for a home automation enthusiast, but think as a simple user. It is a baby monitor. The last thing what you want from a baby monitor that someone would access it without your knowledge. This way EZVIZ closes an attack surface, as either their system has to be hacked, or your Google or Amazon account which uses MFA nowadays by default.

But meanwhile, it is EZVIZ, a Chinese camera manufacturer, which does not allow to de-register a camera if you buy it second hand, and the previous owner hasnā€™t deregistered from the cloud service. And all together most of the features are connected to their cloudā€¦

I have contacted EZVIZ and they have sent similar instructions, except for the RSTP service URL, it still doesnā€™t workā€¦they indicate that it is a network problem (it is not) I will wait for response againā€¦

Thank you for your reply. If you still need to use RTSP, please kindly follow steps below;

1 download and install VLC software on PC
2 ensure your camera and your PC are in the same network
3 click Media > Open Network Stream
4 In Network, input the URL and click Play:
rtsp://admin:verification code@device ip/h264/ch1/main/av_stream
(Note: verification code is the 6 capital letters code you can find on the device label; device IP is the IP address of your camera)
Upon checking, it seems that your camera is offline now, please kindly ensure that your camera is online and try enabling RTSP on the EZVIZ mobile application by following steps below;
Step 1: Ensure the camera and your phone are under the same network
Step 2: Open EZVIZ app, tap the profile icon on the top left > Settings > LAN Live View > Start Scanning
Step 3: Tap the camera you need to use, input the password, which usually is the 6-digit capital letters code on the white sticker of your camera
Step 4: Tap the gear-like icon on the top right > Local Service Settings > enable RTSP
Should you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to provide us the 9-digit serial number (SN) of your EZVIZ device and a screenshot of error message/issue for further assistance.

On the other hand, the integration of EZVIZ in Home Assistant forces to disable MFA from the EZVIZ cloudā€¦

For privacy I prefer to only have local access than in the cloud on the Chinese serversā€¦

If you go down this rabbit hole, try to set the camera to the least power saving setting first and try with that.

When on the same lan, some devices had weird kirks where they required to be on the same WiFi, ie. same frequency, same access point, if you have mesh.

The local access should work from the PC version of the EZVIZ app, you can give a try with that also.
Also, you donā€™t have to log in to the cloud, but just do a lan search

Not mesh, only one APā€¦ I will try changing power saving settingā€¦

EZVIZ BM1 firmware not support RTSP at this moment:

After confirming, I am sorry to tell you, but the BM1 model does not support RTSP streaming or LAN live view in the studio currently.

We would forward your query to our product team to help improve the software and product. Thanks again for your comments.
