Newbie to facebox Facial recognition on Home Assitant query

I want facebox to scan the face as soon as a person comes in front of my camera & trigger automation.

Example: If Jon comes in front of my front door camera, I want my home assistant to trigger an automation to send me a notification to my mobile saying “Jon just arrived to your home”

I understand that facebox on home assistant scans the person’s face in front of the camera at a regular interval & not when we want to scan.

Is there a solution or call service which can trigger the scan & compare based on our need?

I don’t see this in docs but this is likely what you want

You can override this by adding to your config scan_interval: 10000 (setting the interval to 10,000 seconds), and then call the scan service when you actually want to process a camera image
