Factory Reset Green

I tried to setup my green for the first time and apparently I disconnected it too fast, because it refused to start up. (Something about a docker download). So now I am trying to do a factory reset to start the process over again. I have followed the factory reset instructions to the letter, and it just doesn’t seem to ever reinstall. I successfully flashed the version of green to a SD card, but I never get the rapidly flashing lights that the instructions say that I should get, and it never turns the lights off to show that the install is complete.

Anyone ever find a solution to this?

Hello,

Have you found solution to this?

I have green and it is not starting. Reset not working, MicroSD method not workings (no fast blinking).

I have a green. It’s been working well for a few months. I attempted to perform upgrades to core, etc. checked storage and it was 100% full. I have a very basic setup, 2 lights on timer and other zigbee stuff. No apps or anything.
Rebooted, won’t communicate. Attempted factory reset with button. Can’t communicate via default address or the address I had set previously.
I now have a brick. What to do?

Hi, I followed the instructions but it does not reset. Then i tried to reset by SD card but balenaEtcher is telling me the file from Gitbub “error opening source” error:(0, h.requestMetadata) is not a function.
seems the file is not correct.

Any idea?

Found a solution: run balenaEtcher in “Admin” or Win 7 mode, then it works

Does not work for me,I can login to home assistant greeen but there are no settings available so can’t do much I reached out to nabu casa and all they recommend was to come on here.

You need to provide more information.

I don’t know what more I can say I do a factory reset exactly as specified but it only goes to the login screen not the create account

When I login it puts home assistant on but they’re are no settings available in the sidebar so it’s useless without them

Hi,

I’ve big troubles with resetting my Green.

A bit background:

I ran out of storage space, so I attached a USB-stick. I made backups, I moved disk data, but unfortunately, the HA became much too slow. My mistake, I should have checked better the requirements, and buy a fast SSD instead…

Anyway: I first tried to move the data back to the eMMS. It still fits,

I made a backup again, tried diskdata wipe (didn’t work), then tried to reset the Green using the small black button.

I had to do a hard shut down (12 second press).

Power off, power on again, while pressing the button => Yellow light blinks steady.

Release the button => yellow and green start blinking.

But after that, nothing happens.

When I use a display on the HA-Green, it says already for hours:
“Waiting for the Home Assistant CLI to be ready…”

ping homeassistant.local -t gives results, so Green is alive.

For the rest, nothing is happening…

What can I do?

I hope you can help, I’m getting a bit desparate,

brgds, Leon
