After a failed z-wave controller, I am trying to move a GE 12726 direct wire smart switch to HA. This is the older z-wave switch (not z-wave plus) under the GE logo. I need to factory reset the switch to clear the old z-wave network id. The manual does not list a factory reset option and the factory reset for the newer Enbrighten logoed switch doesn’t work. Any suggestions?
You could just exclude it from the new controller instead, then re-include.
So you can set HA in exclude mode and it will clear the next device that goes into include/exclude mode regardless of z-wave ID?
Yes, you can exclude devices using any controller you want, doesn’t matter if they are part of the network or not.
