"failed to start HassOS overlay setup"

Just used etcher to image hass.io onto a new SD card, popped it into the Pi, and I get an error [FAILED] Failed to start HassOS overlay setup and then the whole boot process hangs at [ok] started update utmp about system runlevel changes.

Any ideas?

are you expecting this to boot to a UI? If so, it does not.

Open a browser on another computer on your network, put in http://ip:8123.

Thanks. Not expecting GUI. I’ll give it another go. Every time I tried it earlier I just got connection refused. But I’ll try again.

Hi, I am also getting the same issue. Any expected solution? Did you end up reinstalling Hassio from the scratch?

Just got the same error message. Not possible to connect to my Pi. Any suggestions? Or is it a full reinstall?
