I’ve just started playing with Falcon, which is a free tool from plot.ly for querying and graphing/plotting data from SQL (and no-SQL) databases. For SQL queries if provides tab completion, which should help people generate their queries. The graphing looks very advanced too, and could be useful for prototyping new graph layouts that can be deployed as dashboards. Setup is very straightforward on Mac/Windows, just run the installer.
