Faulty calculation of PV Production because home assistant was offline

I just saw that last year something went wrong with my statistics. At the end of the year i had trouble with my HomeAssistant hardware and it was offline for some days (Dec 20th to Jan. 7th). As you can see in the 2nd and 3rd screenshot. The graph shows the TotalProduction of my solar. In the energy dashboard the phase shows with a deficit of around 300kWh (first screenshot, third column).

I would like to get this normalized somehow. But I can’t even figure out where to start.

Any idea on where to start troubleshooting is appreciated.

Not really. It is just adding all the energy you missed to the hour the system was turned back on. The statistics are correct, but not spread over the time the system was off.

You missed about 500 hourly samples in the three-ish weeks the system was off-line. You would have to edit each and every one of those hourly statistics if you want to spread the energy over the missing time period. And that is only for one entity.

If that is something you actually feel like doing:

Go to Developer Tools → Statistics and find the energy sensors that are reporting incorrectly.

Click on the ramp icon to the right.

You can edit the statistics there.

You would have to calculate the average amount to add each hour so that it adds up exactly to the amount of energy when the system was turned back on. And for solar that is only during the daylight hours which ramps up and down.

In short it would be a Sisyphean task.

thank you for the hint. I just had to correct the very first value after the system was back from -300 something to 0 an now the summary looks nice.
