Hello, not sure where to put this, so please re-direct me if needed.
I am using a Grid Tie Inverter that requires an external sensor to measure how much power the house uses to then feed that amount of power from PV or battery back into the house. Ideally, I require the value (wattage) from only ONE of the mains (L1 or L2) because I’m only feeding power to one of them at this point. I can see the values in the sense app: “System-> Signals.” The add-on does have L1 voltage, so I believe this should be an easy add?
The inverter also requires “current” wattage, BUT because the Sense add-on only updates every 60s at this point, the inverter times out (I could change the timeout but there’s many power adjustments that can happen in 60s, and I’d rather not send 900w back into the grid - could cause trouble with the utility people ). Now, I could go and buy an ShellyEM but I’d rather not spend another $60 since I already have the Sense, and I think it should suffice. HA, programming etc isn’t my forte but I’d be happy to help wherever I can to make this happen. Thank you!
