Is there a card that makes it possible to select own music from shared folder (for example) and play at selected device ?
I read somewhere that a plex card is coming soon but maybe there is something simpler ?

This is the one thing that I need that I haven’t been able to figure out. Just media repository that would allow you to select music and send it to a media player. A simple folder/mp3 file tree would be enough for me. AS long as it picked up the folder.jpg. One such system is Allonis myServer with their Music app. It’s very expensive, but the idea for handling music is good.
I am also keen to see something developed with this idea.
So far on a raspbian/docker install I can play a one-off music track selection with a service call from my mounted usb hdd. This works for a Google Mini and for my Samsung TV as selected devices. Makes use of dlna_dmr component.
I have also looked at this https://community.home-assistant.io/t/play-audio-local-mp3-file-to-a-media-player/35883/17 which uses https://github.com/xat/castnow but it is very specific about folder and filename formats.
A more straightforward way of achieving this would be much appreciated. An example of how it could look is the phone app Wifi-Cast which can direct streaming music files to dlna-connected devices.
