A quirk of home assistant is that the sidebar items and order is saved on each client. I access home assistant from a lot of devices and having to arrange this each time is quite tedious.

You’re not the only one. I have this issu and it feels like a common frustration. From memory, in the last Release Party, one of the Core Devs mentioned that the sidebar really needs some love.
