The last two months have seen updates to the new Matter Server add-in, they’re moving fast, in two months they’re already at v.3.x builds… (YAY!)
Unfortunately, we’ve also seen a lot of component updates to the Matter Server Add-on component that are not applicable to current production releases For instance, Matter Server 3.01 released yesterday - but you cannot install it unless you have a 2023.2.X Beta version installed. Same with 3.0.2 from this morning.
There is no indication in the Matter Server update that it REQUIRES a 2.23.2.x or better system. - the end user clicks on the install offer and is instantly greeted with an error:
(I will say today’s error with 3.02 is much better than yesterday’s with 3.0.1 which didn’t indicate the
source of the problem)
If we know a component is not applicable for a system - why is the update even offered?
Feature Request:
Please update the Updates component to hide not-applicable system updates.
